No. Once you have a valid InqScribe license, you can transcribe unlimited minutes at no extra cost.

This depends on the type of license you purchase.

• Perpetual License: A perpetual license entitles you to two years of free updates. After that point, you can continue to use any version of InqScribe released during the two-year update period forever. If you would like to continue to receive updates beyond the two year period, you can upgrade at a discount.
  
  
• 10-day License: A 10-day license entitles you to use InqScribe for 10 days. This is not a subscription and does not renew. After 10 days, you will need to purchase a new license.

Discount codes are tied to specific products. If you are trying to purchase a student or upgrade license, please use the purchase button on the respective page. You can find the button in the FAQ section of that page.

Education / Non-profit discounts should work for any regular product.

FastSpring will email you your license/activation key as soon as they receive your payment. You will receive two emails: one receipt for your payment, and one with your license/activation key and a link to download InqScribe. The emails should come from two places

You can install a single InqScribe license on one laptop and one desktop computer so long as you are the only user.

FastSpring handles our payments for us. When you buy InqScribe, the charge on your credit card should appear as "FS* InqScribe".

We accept Purchase Orders for 5 or more licenses.

Because manual PO processing creates disproportionate administrative overhead, we limit the use of purchase orders to larger institutional orders. You must order at least 5 licenses if you are paying via PO.

Many institutions use purchasing cards for low-dollar software purchases. By far the easiest way to make a purchase is via credit card, P-Card, or purchase card. There is no minimum order size when using one of these payment methods.

If a PO is required, please note that processing may take up to one month, depending on your institution. The license will be delivered upon receipt of payment.

The procedure is:

1. Contact Us requesting a Purchase Order. Please provide: Owner Name: (Please use the name of the primary person using the software)

If you would like a single activation code to use for all of your seats (as opposed to separate activation codes for each seat), please let us know. A single code may be convenient if you are managing a computer lab.
2. We will send you an invoice.
3. If you can pay via credit card, you will be able to pay directly from the invoice.
4. If you need to pay by check, or you require a W9, or you require supplier onboarding, please Contact Us with the details. (NOTE: Please do not use FastSpring's W9 from FAQ #8. We will provide an Inquirium W9.)
5. Once we receive your payment, we will send you the license activation codes. Please allow one business day for us to process your order.

If you are purchasing licenses using a credit card or P-Card (i.e. not via Purchase Order), and you require a W9, please note that FastSpring is the company that handles our payments for us. Technically they are our Merchant of Record (MoR) and you are buying from them. So you'll need to use FastSpring's W9. Here is FastSpring's W9. If you are purchasing via a Purchase Order, do not use FastSpring's W9; you will need a different W9 from us (see FAQ #8)

Our payment processor, FastSpring, is required by law to charge sales tax on all purchases. If you are a tax-exempt organization, you have two choices:

• US Sales Tax -- If you are a US tax-exempt organization, you can contact FastSpring directly to request a refund of sales tax paid.
• EU VAT -- If you are an EU tax-exempt organization and have a valid VAT ID, you can simply enter it during checkout. Doing so should void any previously applied taxes.
